Art and music

In addition to our regular drop-in a variety of arts type activities take place as well.

On Thursday mornings between 10am and 12-30pm various arts/crafts can be tried. These can include decorating or making picture frames, mosaics, glass painting etc or any other suggestions that people may have. The art group also makes props and decorations for the summer and Christmas drop-in parties. There are also occasional longer projects when we are able to obtain funding. The most recent of these projects (funded by National Mind) was the construction of a sculpture trail, inspired by the seaside, at our horticulture project In Knowle.

On Thursday afternoons between 1pm and 4-30pm there is a music group. Like the other arts activities you don't need to have tried it before, it's an enjoyable and fun way to have a go at something you might not have considered before. The music group is open to everyone including those who have never tried playing an instrument or singing before, and we try to accommodate as wide a variety of styles as possible. Instruments etc are provided, although you can bring along your own if you like.

If you are interested in any of our arts activities, just come along at the times they are on, or ring or email us for more information.
