Services

Solihull Mind provides a variety of services to those who live in Solihull borough (including Chelmsley Wood, Castle Bromwich, Kingshurst, Smithswood etc, Knowle/Dorridge, Balsall Common, and Meriden) and are aged between 17 and 65. Our services cover three main areas: practical help, e.g. information, help with employment issues, help with forms or dealing with official bodies (advocacy); support, e.g. counselling, and support groups on particular areas of mental health; and social/leisure services, which includes our drop-in services and other activities such as art and sport.

All our services are provided free of charge and are self referral - i.e. you don't need a letter from a GP, social worker etc. (in fact we can't accept referrals from other agencies), although you can ask someone else to make the first contact with us if that is easier for you. Some services you can just turn up at our building when the service is running (e.g. the drop-in), others may need an appointment (e.g. counselling).

Solihull Mind's services are provided according to our policies on equal opportunities and confidentiality. All information is confidential to Solihull Mind and no written records are kept. We will only consider breaching confidentiality when there is serious and immediate risk of harm to a third party. Details of our policies are available on request.
