Sports and Leisure

Our sports and leisure activities are part of the national Time to Change campaign which aims to challenge discrimination and change the way people think about mental health. For more information see the Time to Change website www.time-to-change.org.uk

Sports activities take place at our organic horticulture site in Knowle. There is a half size football pitch, golf tee and green, table tennis, volleyball and a boules court (a sort of French bowls if you've never tried it before!).

Football takes place on Friday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm (1pm and 3pm in winter). If the pitch at Knowle is too wet we use an all weather pitch at Norman Green Sports Centre. We have all abilities and ages (17 to around late 50s!) and both men and women play.

Golf tuition is at the horticulture site in Knowle on Friday mornings between 11am and 12noon - clubs etc are provided.

We also run healthy living activities, including a Monday afternoon walking group (for gentle exercise - we don't walk up mountains!) with advice on exercise and healthy eating.

For more details of all our sports and leisure activities please contact the Mind office.
