Counselling changes Following a recent tender process with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) we are sad to announce that will no longer be providing counselling funded by BSMHFT from the 1 st April. People already receiving counselling from us will continue to have their sessions for as long as they would have had prior to the contract loss. However, we can no longer accept any new applications for counselling at present. We are trying to find ways of continuing counselling using alternative funding sources and if we are successful we will be able to take new counselling applications again. Our Crisis Café is still running (it’s a separate BSMHFT contract) and can provide immediate support for those in a crisis, but it isn’t intended to provide ongoing counselling. We don’t have any details yet of how the new organisation – the Trustee Women’s Consortium- who now have the contract, will work and how people can access counselling with them. As soon as we do have any information we will publish it on this website.
Music group restarts Our music group is back! We have a new volunteer, Layla, to facilitate the group with playing/jamming, composing, recording etc. The group is located at our building in Faulkner Road (map here) and will run from 2pm to 4pm every Thursday from the 5 th February. No previous experience necessary, all instruments are provided or you can bring your own. For more information, please contact our office.
